It’s great to see a classic novel in such a lavish production and it all works very well as far as I’m concerned. The locations look gorgeous, the action sequences so far are engaging, and the performances are impressive. Like other critics, I don’t buy Lashana Lynch as the MI:6 agent, and I feel she was miscast in the role. On the flip side, it’s always nice to see Charles Dance flex his acting muscles. Úrsula Corbero is good to watch on screen, although I’m afraid she’s a bit underused. Otherwise, a great piece of old school cloak and dagger entertainment.
