Mikey Madison – Uma História de Amor por Sean Baker.
It follows a world of even deeper intrigue and cunning, as the characters fight their own battles while battling existential threats to the nation and the world… From X-Men: First Class and "The Acolyte" to The Cotton Club, check out the TV and film roles of "The Agency" stars Michael Fassbender, Jodie Turner-Smith, Richard Gere and more. The way a caseworker becomes an agent (or informant, or confidential informant) is through the use of the acronym MICE, which stands for: MoneyIdeologyCompromise (aka Blackmail)Ego.
Blake, the acronym "OBE" is incorrectly explained as "Overtaken by Events". government agencies, including those in the intelligence community and the Department of Defense, the correct/official explanation for the acronym "OBE" is "Overcome By Events". The opening credits depict the characters and scenes of the series interspersed with mirrored panes.
Former CIA Director of Counterintelligence James Jesus Angleton, also known as the “Spy Poet,” described the intelligence game as a “Desert of Mirrors,” a phrase borrowed from a poem by T.S. Eliot called Gerontion (the title is Greek for “little old man,” and the poem is an internal monologue connecting the opinions and impressions of an elderly man describing post-World War I Europe through the eyes of a man who lived most of his life in the 19th century). In the world of intelligence, in the search for truth, it is difficult to distinguish between reality and its reflection, an illusion if you will, as if one were in a “Hall of Mirrors”.
I don’t get all the negativity in the reviews, yes, its pacing isn’t quite Bourne territory, but it is tense, wonderfully acted and grabs your attention. I haven’t seen the French original before so forgive me if I don’t give a comparison but it would be a shame if there was a negative comparison it would detract from the enjoyment of it. Maybe the concerns about the pacing come from binge culture, it is probably slow if you want to watch a few episodes in one sitting but honestly I don’t see any problem with it.
Four children make a mysterious discovery on their home planet that leads them to become lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. The holographic circus that entertains Neel’s young siblings is the same Chewbacca family watch in the infamous The Star Wars Holiday Special (1978).
From the previews I thought it was going to be terrible. I only saw the first episode and was surprised at how funny it was.
A bit of Spielberg style Star Wars. It may be intended for children, but I enjoy this style of speaking even in my advanced age.
The first episode was fun and engaging and flowed well without taking itself too seriously. So far it’s the second best series after Endor, but that might change after watching more episodes.
I think this series is a good direction for the Disney/Star Wars combination. "One Hundred Years of Solitude" is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres of the month.
