In 1950s Mexico City, a 40-something American immigrant lives a solitary life in a small American community. However, the arrival of a young student inspires the man to finally form a meaningful relationship with someone. The main reason is that the film was too abstract and stream-of-conscious. The overall meaning is an exploration of the loneliness inherent in the queer heart, the difficulty of connecting with others, the pain of lack of love, and the complex emotions of depression. But the technique of the performance is very conscious, especially the last 20 minutes, which contain almost no lines and are entirely devoted to expressing the inner world of the male protagonist through various blurs, hallucinations, and abstract art forms. Even though I understood what the director wanted to express, the form of expression may not be acceptable to the audience and at one point I wanted to leave the stage.
