The novel The Day of the Jackal is set in 1963 and revolves around an assassination attempt on then-French President Charles de Gaulle.
The series moves the action to the modern era
Starring Graham Norton and guests: Denzel Washington / Paul Mescal / Saoirse Ronan / Eddie Redmayne / Blossoms (2024). I’ve been eagerly awaiting The Day of the Jackal since I first heard about it. Then I saw the trailers and my excitement grew even more.
I was wrong because he played it just perfectly
Well, after watching it, I can say that it certainly lived up to my expectations. Everyone knows what a great actor Eddie Redmayne is, but I still had my doubts about his role. He plays the anti-hero perfectly here, and you root for him to succeed.
I definitely recommend this series
This series is best watched in its entirety because I can promise that once you watch one episode, you will be eager to start watching the next one. When Redmayne’s character (The Jackal) is on a mission, you are on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next. The Jackal reminds me of a James Bond spy turned evil.
